A great deal of success on the SAT happens BEFORE students take the test.

Have a strategy

Be familiar with the process of evaluation.

• Knowing what you will be graded on makes it easier to know what you need to do in order to accomplish your goal of achieving an excellent score. The Grading Rubric is a valuable tool for understanding what it is you need to deliver on your test performance.

Be sure to practice writing sample essay responses in the allotted amount of time to simulate test conditions.

• The ONLY WAY to improve your score is through practice. No, it’s not fun. Yes, it’s hard work. So what? Do it and you will reap the rewards of earning an excellent score on the SAT Essay Writing Section.
